Wittgenstein family grave, Camenca

– Built about at the middle of 19th century, the tomb is in the basement of a single-story building. Next to it is a restored Lutheran cemetery. The construction measures approximately 9×18 meters. The tomb has 12 niches for funerals and a plaque for inscriptions. Here was buried Piotr Hristianovich Wittgenstein, a Russian general who helped develop the Camenca region, his wife, Antuanetta, and some of their descendants. The superstructure – which was originally a church – was changed, now being a construction built in the Soviet period.

– The tomb has degraded, with many missing elements. There are many large cracks in the walls and ceiling. It needs plastering and a lighting system, which is now completely missing.
