Cultural heritage sites from both banks of Nistru will be restored with the help of European Union, but with your help also!
The European Union, via EU Confidence Building Measures Programme (EU CBM), implemented by UNDP, continues the competition organized over the last months.
Following a call for proposal issued on January 22 a total of 248 applications with ideas to support local cultural heritage objects from both banks of Nistru were submitted by a variety of actors: local administrations, civil society groups, NGOs, private citizens. The high number of applications demonstrates interest and desire to preserve cultural heritage objects both on local and country level.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions processing all proposals was longer than planned. Thank you for your patience and your active involvement!
As you know, only 10 projects can be funded – 5 from the left bank and 5 from the right bank of Nistru – and the budget for each object cannot exceed 40.000,00 euros on an average, so not all proposals could be considered for the second selection phase.
Members of the EU CBM Cultural Heritage Monitoring Group have identified 16 projects among those received, based on the feasibility of the proposal and its sustainability over time.
Now we encourage you to vote for the best objects that will benefit of funds allocated by EU!
You can review the pictures and get more information on objects and proposals by clicking on the object’s icon below. Please keep in mind that only one vote per person (from one IP) is allowed. The voting period – July 14th to August 3rd – is to vote for only one of them.
Voting results will constitute 50% of the final decision, while the rest 50% will represent the conclusion of the members of the Cultural Heritage Monitoring Group.
Please invite your colleagues and friends to participate in this selection process!
