Puskin auditorium building, Bender

– The auditorium building has exterior walls made of limestone blocks. Inside, over time, there have been made some interventions with materials specific to respective periods, so that, among other things, a reinforced concrete housing has been added. At the beginning of the 20th century, the auditorium was in the center of the social life of the city of Bender. Celebrities of the time and famous theater troupes, on tour, performed there. During the First World War, the building was transformed into a hospital, which, in 1916, was visited by Tsar Nikolai II.

– The building is in a deplorable condition, being partially destroyed. Part of the roof, floor, carpentry, and finishes are missing. Urgent roof repair work is needed to protect the building from rain.
